Bits N' Pieces Puppet Theatre is looking for a puppeteer/actor/dancer male performer for our national tour of PUSS IN BOOTS.
The puppeteer must perform in our 40lb. 9ft. tall, backpack puppets as well as large rod puppets and a modified bunraku puppet. Look at our puppet pictures on our web site.

Physical coordination and upper body strength is important. Basic dancing includes waltz, march, barrel rolls, musical choreography and blocking. No singing required, puppets perform to a prerecorded music track. The company performs at theatres, college auditoriums, cultural centers in the eastern and central United States. This is a touring position with two 50 minute performances a day, 3-4 days a week. Load in to the theater is four hours. Load out is 1.5 hours. All three of the company members share performance, stage build up, technical and driving duties. This is a great chance to tour and get onstage and backstage experience with audiences and crews in a variety of venues. You must enjoy travel and driving. The applicant must be a physically strong, talented, happy, healthy adult, experienced driver with a valid driver's license. In addition to performing on tour, the applicant should be prepared to assist in the creation of a new program. All transportation, lodging, expenses and a salary are provided by the Bits ‘N Pieces Puppet Theatre. Please send us a resume and photos of your work. Video and digital media is always appreciated.
